GGCC KICKS OFF FIRST EVER ‘PINKTOBER’ CAMPAIGN FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month that is celebrated worldwide in October, Glenmarie Golf & Country Club (GGCC) has launched a ‘PinkTober’ campaign with the aim of highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness among its golfers and local communities.

“We are honoured to partner with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) and the Malaysian Ladies Golf Association (MALGA) to help in the fight against breast cancer. With their support, we believe that this campaign could spark awareness in the Malaysian golfing community” said Club Manager, Nor Afendi Hj Mohd Razlan.

With the slogan ‘Chip in for a Cure’, GGCC is offering all lady golfers a special rate of RM120.00 and men golfers wearing either a pink t-shirt or pants a rate of RM185.00 to play on weekdays for the month of October 2020. GGCC will also be donating RM1.00 from all visitor golfers who play in GGCC until the end of December 2020 to BCWA. Proceeds help the BCWA efforts and services which includes providing peer support for women with breast cancer.

Organised for the first time ever in GGCC, there are hopes to encourage other major players within the golf industry to follow suit and support associations who are fighting for a cause similar to the BCWA.
